Its that time of the year again…

The weather in Dallas this week is AMAZING! Lows in the 40s and highs in the 60s arrived just in time for the holiday season, and I am starting to finally believe it is Fall. One item on my winter wish list this year is everything Barbour. However, I can already hear my mother saying, “Why do you need a hunting jacket? You hate hunting!”

I feel an argument like the Tory Burch duck boot episode of Christmas 2011 arising. In short my mom simply did not see the need for designer duck boots when I could order a less expensive pair from L.L. Bean. She eventually gave in, and I thankfully got the boots (which I am still obsessed with.) But, I am still reminded pretty regularly of the uselessness of those Tory Burch boots.

Hence my hesitation on obtaining a Barbour jacket. How can you not love Barbour jackets though? They are incredibly stylish with a hint of a masculine edge, and the traditional olive green color is trending right now! My favorite piece is the quilted utility jacket. I can just imagine wearing it with jeans and riding boots, or a pleated leather skirt and heeled booties!

Dress It Up or Dress It Down

I’ve been craving a pair of leather pants lately, but needed a bit of inspiration in order to fully justify that I will get a decent amount of use out of them! I’m obsessed with these two simple looks, especially the shoes. Leather pants are a WOW piece so keep it clean with just a few accessories and let the leather speak for itself!

This quote is really hitting home right now as I start my senior year of college. I feel like I am constantly being asked what are my plans after graduation, or where I see myself ending up in a few years. It can all seem so overwhelming, and sometimes I find myself needing to simply take a deep breath. Resolution for my last year of schooling is to live in the simplicity of being free & discovering what makes me happy.

Art Obsession: GADABOUT Stationery

I recently discovered this AMAZING stationery line called, GADABOUT! The designer, Hanna Nation, is a genius at incorporating cute details into the normally boring world of stationery and monograms! Wondering what GADABOUT means? Well, Hanna defines it, as well as all her other “Words of the Day” on GADABOUT’s Tumblr! I am secretly so jealous of creativity. Not only does Hanna have adorable stationery designs and a killer Tumblr, but she also has a sweet blog that I am kinda obsessed with. My favorite series in her blog is called “What’s that Girl Been Up to?…(Something Fabulous I’m Sure,)” where she features other chic bloggers who share their favorite things.
