When I first saw this quote I instantly related to what Mr. Carnegie said. I think sometimes that when we first meet people it can be rather intimidating to get to know one another, which is why initially we might talk about something we know inside and out; ourselves. However, personally as a Dallas girl who moved all the way across the street to attend college I crave to know where others came from and their backstory. People like to talk about themselves, and most people have amazing stories! All it takes is a question or two to make a new best friend or gain a different perspective on life.
